About Our Cover Artist: Ejiwa “Edge” Ebenebe

pic of cover artist Ejiwa "Edge" Ebenebe

Ejiwa “Edge” Ebenebe is a Nigerian-Canadian artist based in BC, Canada. Although they currently live in Canada, they grew up in several places across the globe, resulting in an array of experiences that deeply influence their approach to their creative work.

As an immigrant, and a member of the queer community, they also wrestle with concepts of community and identity, both within themself and their artwork, and strive to add representation for voices (particularly Black and/or LGBTQIA+ folks) who are often pushed out of positive, empowering narratives. Their artwork echoes a love for the ethereal fantasy stories they grew up with, vibrant colours, and ornamentation that weaves Edge’s experience throughout each piece they create.

They have worked with numerous clients including Scholastic, Wizards of the Coast, and Marvel. Their work has also featured in publications such as ImagineFX MagazineInfected By Art, and F(r)iction Magazine.
