Kailee Pedersen

Kailee Pedersen is the author of the horror novel Sacrificial Animals (St. Martin’s, 2024). Her debut poetry chapbook, Pastorale, is forthcoming from Burnside Review in March 2025. Her writing on LGBTQ+ and Asian American themes was awarded an artist fellowship by the Nebraska Arts Council in 2015. Her poetry has appeared in Strange Horizons, Sonora Review, AGNI, They Rise Like A Wave: An Anthology of Asian American Women Poets (Blue Oak Press), Shō, and others. She graduated with a B.A. in classics from Columbia University, specializing in ancient Greek. Kailee was adopted from Nanning in 1996 and grew up in Nebraska, where her family owns a farm.
